Purfleet Primary School required a reliable electrical company to carry out various types of regular maintenance works within their school, including emergency lighting, fire alarm installation, fault finding, lighting upgrades and prompt response to breakdown issues.
To test existing systems and recommend adequate upgrades to establish a high standard of safety for all staff, pupils and visitors to the site.
To be adaptable and able to work safely if required to attend, when necessary, whilst the children are on site, as well as being available to carry out maintenance and installation works during pupil holiday times.
To ensure that all engineers have had adequate checks in place such as Enhanced DBS.
All testing and maintenance were planned to be carried out during the school holiday closures, along with time to carry out any recommendations for additional emergency lights were then quoted for and installed, integrating them into the existing systems, to keep costs as low as possible.
High-level lighting in the main hall was upgraded to LED lights as well as replacing emergency light batteries because the lights were in good condition – just the batteries were failing.
