The Big Blue Squirrel Storage facility in West Thurrock was looking for a company that they could trust to carry out the routine testing of their emergency lighting and fire alarms to meet their compliance needs as well as carry out any maintenance and remedial works that may be required.
To establish a comprehensive report of the existing emergency lights and smoke alarms that were already in place, and recommend all remedial works required to maintain the high standard that they would always wish to be in place. The safety of their staff and clients using the storage facility on a 24/7 basis is of paramount importance.
A full and thorough test was conducted and comprehensively recorded for all the existing emergency lights and smoke alarms.
Recommendations for additional emergency lights and optical smoke alarms were then quoted for and installed, integrating them into the existing systems, to keep costs as low as possible.
Comprehensive record sheets were created and all smoke alarms and emergency lights were clearly labelled for future identification.
An updated zone plan for both systems was created and clearly displayed.
An annual contract was set up for ongoing testing and maintenance.
